I'm wearing so many trends in this outfit that I really should be feeling a little uncomfortable: cropped top, distressed jeans cuffed, leopard print loafers, and mixed animal prints. The opposite was true in fact, in my opinion, all of the trends were casual and relaxed enough to intermix easily. I wore this on a chilly summer day, and can see it be worn again in the coming fall.

This pair of skinny jeans was a lucky find when shopping at Winners a while back. Because of it, I've started to appreciate the mid-rise fit, and so when Old Navy came out with their mid-rise Rockstar jeans, I just had to try them on. My verdict: comfy, snug, secure, flattering - I don't know if I can go back to low-rise anymore!

Occasion Wear: Floral Sheath Dress

A special occasion (Olivia's baptism) called for something more fancy and formal than what I usually wear. I had somes shoes to choose from (a shoe hoarder collector's advantage), but no dress to wear. In my opinion, it had to be modest in cut and style, and of course just as importantly it had to be easy to move in with a baby. Colour wise it shouldn't be white as to not compete with Olivia, and preferably something flattering and weather appropriate. With such criteria in mind, I thought this floral sheath dress would work after browsing and reading reviews on Forever 21's online store - long story short - with the picture on my phone, I walked into the store, spotted it, tried it on, and bought it.

The long story of course involved popping into various other stores and trying on plenty of other dresses of different styles and what not, but let's pretend that I'm a savvier shopper and that the whole ordeal only took 5 minutes.
